A critical illness rider makes living benefits payable to the insured for medical expenses prior to death. Generally, the extra cover is equal to the sum assured on the base policy and is paid upon diagnosis of the illness.

Critical illness cover could be right for you if you do not have enough savings to cover your outgoings if you become seriously ill or disabled and can no longer work. Your employer does not offer any benefit packages that cover a period of long term sickness.

  • Heart Attack of Specified Severity.

  • Coronary Artery By-pass Surgery.
